Too Harsh

Being expelled for plagerism is in my opinion a much too harsh consequence for such an act. I can only imagine how I'd feel if the school I had been working to get into all my life expelled me for making what could be inturprited as a work related mistake. Being expelled is a huge negative life altering consequence and I believe that even though it is a prestigious school, the students should have been failed in the class and warned that next time would mean expulsion, or something rather then being expelled right off the bat. I think the bigger issue is proper citation skills not being taught sufficiently in highschools. I know for myself I'm still very confused as to what counts as plagerism and the rules in place for citing information.

They should have gave him an F and tell him he wouldn't get credit for that class. Not screw him out of 3 semesters of classes, and wasting tons of money.

Being expelled does seem a bit harsh considering the situation...overseas and all.
